Why typhoon zones need special louvers

Standard architectural louvers are designed for ordinary wind loads. In typhoon zones, wind pressures can exceed design envelopes of standard blades — causing blade deformation, water ingress and, in worst cases, blade failure at height. Louvers for typhoon zones require higher structural strength in blade sections, fixing systems and frame anchorage.
